HMD Global has introduced the Amped Buds, a new pair of wireless earbuds featuring a Qi2-compatible charging case that doubles as a 1,600mAh power bank. This innovative feature allows users to wirelessly charge their smartphones, offering an estimated 20% battery boost for devices like the iPhone 16 Pro.
The Amped Buds are designed to deliver high-quality audio performance, thanks to 10mm drivers that produce crisp and immersive sound. They support both active and environmental noise cancellation, ensuring an uninterrupted listening experience in various environments. Each earbud provides up to 8 hours of playback, while the charging case extends the total usage to an impressive 95 hours.
A key highlight of the Qi2-compatible charging case is its versatility. Not only does it support wireless MagSafe charging, but it also includes a USB-C port for traditional wired charging.
Measuring just 14mm in thickness, the case remains compact and portable while providing added functionality.
HMD Global is set to launch the Amped Buds in April 2025, with availability in Europe. Customers will be able to choose from three stylish colors: cyan, black, and pink. The earbuds will retail for €199, making them a compelling option for users looking for a blend of audio quality, extended battery life, and power-sharing capabilities.
